TOPIC: New Untrained and Lacking Confidence.

Lack of training in emergencies situations E.g. Natural disaster or Conflict.

Teachers with no training in emergencies places like South Sudan fail a lot due to the fact that they do not have the knowledge and skills to teach or address the needs relevant to children living in a post – conflict environment. Schools systems in South Sudan are affected by the practice of new teachers due to lack of support therefore they tend to create a cycle of failure among teachers and students in the country. These reasons will give wrong information about teaching to the communities for instance like being a teacher is not an important profession. South Sudanese children deserve the world best teachers; education often represents more opportunities for these children to attain a better life. These cannot happen if post- conflict children don’t have access to well trained teachers.

In conclusion, helping new teachers get better requires investments in educational leadership, which will move the country forward in peace building and education for all. Secondly the focus should be more on the needs of the untrained teachers and they should link them to the few trained teachers. Lastly in order education to be the tool of development in South Sudan it is important to have a solid understanding of the technical capacity of  a community to implement education  programs like strategies to enhance girls participation and attainment.
